Website and quote terms
These preliminary terms explain how Harbour Lining Supply's project quote process should be understood. Harbour Lining Supply is in trade as a trading brand operated by a New Zealand sole trader, not an incorporated company. The operator's legal name, address for service and final business details will be shown on the final quote and invoice before any payment is requested.
Information on this website
Product dimensions, stock signals, planning estimates and technical notes are provided for an initial conversation. They are not a final design, building approval, engineering sign-off or guarantee that a particular board is suitable for a particular wall or ceiling system.
Quote basis
A quote is prepared from the product, dimensions, quantity, project location, timing and delivery route you provide. A submitted enquiry is not an order. The written quote identifies the exact product or open product questions, price, GST basis, freight and import items, delivery conditions, exclusions, estimated timing and quote validity. It must also show each payment amount, the remaining balance, the payment milestone and the refund condition before payment is requested.
Refundable reservation before an import lot is confirmed
If the 200-sheet supplier import lot has not yet been confirmed, Harbour Lining Supply may offer a 10% reservation payment. That reservation is refundable while the lot remains unconfirmed and is credited toward the first 60% if the order proceeds; it is not an additional charge. The quote or reservation invoice must state the confirmation deadline and refund route.
Exact SKU and product evidence gate
Harbour Lining Supply must identify the exact SKU and provide the available product evidence needed to assess the quoted intended use before supplier procurement begins. If the supplier cannot provide an accurate SKU or the complete evidence required by the accepted quote, the customer may cancel before procurement and amounts paid for that proposed order will be refunded.
Order acceptance and procurement payment
Harbour Lining Supply does not place a supplier order when an enquiry or reservation is submitted. After the import lot, exact SKU and required evidence are confirmed, the customer accepts the final written quote, Harbour Lining Supply confirms the order and issues the applicable payment instructions. Supplier procurement starts only when payments totalling 60% are received as cleared funds and the other stated order conditions are satisfied.
Standard 60 / 30 / 10 payment schedule
The standard imported-to-order schedule is 60% before supplier procurement, 30% at the documented shipping, arrival or clearance milestone identified in the accepted quote, and the final 10% before local delivery or release of the goods. A refundable 10% unconfirmed-lot reservation, where used, forms part of the first 60%, so the customer normally pays a further 50% once the order gates are satisfied. The exact amount, outstanding balance, due date, milestone evidence, refund condition and payment method are shown in the written quote or invoice before the customer pays.
Availability, quantity and price
Products are imported to order and are not represented as Auckland shelf stock. Harbour Lining Supply can quote any customer quantity. The current 200-sheet figure is a supplier import-lot minimum, not a customer purchase minimum. For a smaller order, the written quote must identify the confirmed fulfilment route, price basis and estimated timing before a deposit is requested. Supplier pricing may exclude sea freight, import costs, GST, duty, local delivery, unloading, storage and site services. The written quote identifies what is included and excluded.
Changes, cancellation and refunds
Any requested change is subject to written confirmation and may change the price, timing or product. No payment is described as automatically or entirely non-refundable. If the customer cancels after the supplier order has been placed, Harbour Lining Supply may deduct only actual non-recoverable costs that the accepted contract permits and that Harbour Lining Supply can document, to the extent permitted by law. Any remaining amount due to the customer will be refunded. The accepted quote must state the project-specific cancellation and refund process.
Lead times and delays
Supplier preparation, sea freight, port handling, border clearance and local delivery dates are estimates unless Harbour Lining Supply expressly guarantees a date in writing. Harbour Lining Supply will provide reasonable updates when the schedule changes. Nothing in these terms removes any remedy or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Invoices, receipts and release for delivery
Harbour Lining Supply provides a formal invoice or receipt for every reservation, procurement, milestone and final payment. Each record must identify the quote or order, amount paid, remaining balance and the stage it relates to. Harbour Lining Supply does not ask customers to submit card details through the enquiry form or ordinary email. Where the accepted quote requires cleared payment before release or local delivery, the goods will not be released until that payment condition is met.
Independent installation quote coordination
Harbour Lining Supply may coordinate an introduction or quote from an independent local plasterboard installer. No in-house installation team is represented by this website. Unless the accepted written documents expressly state otherwise, the customer contracts with and pays the installer directly, and the installer is responsible for its labour, programme, site safety, workmanship, insurance, warranty, defects and required completion information. The installer's identity, scope, exclusions, payment route and any Harbour coordination fee or relevant commercial arrangement must be disclosed before the customer accepts installation work.
Installation contracts, variations and payment
Installation is not booked by submitting an enquiry. The written labour quote must identify the surfaces, quantities or measurement basis, fixing and stopping scope, finish requirement, protection, access, cleanup, GST, timing, payment milestones, variation process and warranty. Any change must be agreed in writing before the changed work proceeds. Residential building work costing NZ$30,000 or more including GST requires a written contract and prescribed disclosure and checklist information; Harbour Lining Supply expects a written installation scope at lower values as well.
Technical and licensed-work responsibility
Project design, consent, product-system selection and building-code decisions remain with the owner, designer, builder, appointed installer and other responsible professionals. If plasterboard lining forms part of restricted building work, an appropriately licensed person must carry out or supervise that work and provide any required record. Harbour Lining Supply can organise product information and the enquiry route, but does not replace the professional responsible for the project.
Delivery and inspection
Delivery depends on access, packaging, weather, carrier conditions and the agreed route. The customer should inspect quantities and visible damage promptly and notify Harbour Lining Supply with photographs and delivery details so the issue can be assessed with the relevant carrier or supplier.
Consumer and trade rights
These terms do not exclude rights that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law. Any legally permitted contracting out for a business-to-business transaction must be expressly agreed in writing and reviewed for the actual transaction; it is not assumed by this website.
