Is the site ready to receive plasterboard?
Large sheets need a delivery route, an unloading method and dry storage agreed before the truck is booked. Send these details with the quote request so the local delivery basis and exclusions can be written down.
BEFORE THE QUOTE
Describe the route before pricing it.
- Full delivery address and a site contact who can answer access questions
- Sheet size, thickness and quantity, including any unusually long sheets
- Preferred date or project window, stated as a request rather than a guaranteed booking
- Truck access, gate width, turning space, parking restrictions and traffic controls
- Whether kerbside, HIAB, mechanical unloading or carrying labour may be needed
BEFORE DELIVERY DAY
Prepare the handover and storage area.
- Confirm the site contact can receive calls and attend the handover
- Keep the unloading and carrying route clear of vehicles, waste and work hazards
- Identify overhead lines, trees, scaffolding, steep access and soft ground
- Prepare a clean, level, dry and weather-protected storage location
- Confirm who supplies labour and equipment beyond the written delivery scope
- Check delivered packs and visible damage at handover before signing
